Me before embarking on the adventure down to Vallee Blanche. Notice the hinged door to the right leading out to the ridge. Any one can just walk out there where there is a 200 m drop on one side and a 1000 m drop on the other. Quite bizarre.
Above the axe is Aiguille Verte and below it, Aiguille du Plan - which I might be going back to climb via the Midi-Plan traverse.
